Premier of A lyric on a sonnet on Pigalle's Friendship for soprano, flute, horn, and cello, commissioned by Dr. Richard Giarusso and The Johns Hopkins University. [Text by Hollis Robbins]
The concert is being given in conjunction with Dr. Giarusso's "First Nights" class on the subject of notable premiers throughout history, from Monteverdi through Stravinsky. The concert will also premier a work by composer, Joshua Bornfield.

Sonya Knussen and Justin Bird performed Oregon Beach, for mezzo-soprano and piano at the Peabody Composition Department Recital.

Pictures on Silence performed The woman with Renoir's umbrella with accompanying film Memory's Diary by Laurence Gingold. The program also featured a premier by Boston based composer Brian John and other multi-media works written especially for the duo.

November 13, 2010 - An die Musik, Baltimore, MD
Premier of Oregon Beach, for female voice and piano [Text by Christopher Wilson]. Megan Ihnen, mezzo-soprano with pianist Andrew Stewart gave a wonderful performance. The program also featured performances from baritone Jason Buckwalter and other works by Garth Baxter, Ray Jozwiak, Ljiljana Jovanovic, Keith Kramer, and George Spicka.

November 12, 2010 - Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
Pictures on Silence featured a dynamic program of mixed media works that included premieres by DC composers Stephen Gorbos and Anna Rubin; a new silent short film by New York filmmaker Laurence Gingold which was shot and edited to accompany Baltimore composer John Belkot’s the woman with Renoir's umbrella; and Australian composer Mark Oliveiro’s Tanox, a recent work for harp, saxophone and electronics.

October 9, 2010 - Creative Alliance at the Patterson, Baltimore, MD
Sound in Motion III
Clarinet phenomenom, Gleb Kanasevich premiered Sketches, three movements for bass clarinet. For the third year in a row the Baltimore Composers Forum collaborated with area choreographers to produce an afternoon of music and dance as part of the Free Fall Baltimore arts extravaganza. During the month of October Free Fall Baltimore sponsors hundreds of free performances, exhibits, and workshops across the city. The Baltimore Composers Forum is proud to have yet again participated in this great cultural event.

This years concert, Sound in Motion III, featured works by composers; Garth Baxter, John Belkot, Ljiljana Jovanovic, Ray Jozwiak, Vivian Adelberg Rudow, Ariyo Shahry and, choreographers; Algernon Campbell, Reginald Cole, Lynne Price, and Lauren Withhart.

April 16, 2010 - An die Musik, Baltimore, MD
John Coker gave Dark Matter, for solo double-bass, an excellent second performance.
The concert Sound on Sound II sponsored by the Baltimore Composers Forum completed an evening of new chamber works from composers throughout the region. The concert included compositions by Garth Baxter, John Belkot, Ray Jozwiak, Justine Koontz, Keith Kramer, Ariyo Shahry, George Spicka, and Jerry Tabor.

February 20, 2010 - The Lyceum, Alexandria, VA
Pictures on Silence, the harp and saxophone duo of Jacqueline Pollauf and Noah Getz, gave a wonderful second performance of The woman with Renoir's umbrella. The concert also featured works by local composers David Smooke, Andrew Simpson, and Armando Bayolo.

November 22, 2009 - Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore, MD
Premier of Dark Matter, for solo double-bass was performed by John Coker at the Peabody Conservatory's Double-Bass Department Recital.

November 20, 2009 - An die Musik, Baltimore, MD
Premier of The woman with Renoir's umbrella, for Harp and Soprano Saxophone. Harpist, Jacqueline Pollauf and Saxophonist, Noah Getz of the duo Pictures on Silence presented a concert of all new works. The concert was sponsored by the Baltimore Composers Forum.

March 22, 2009 - Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA
The Susquehanna University Chorale had their Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 in Stretansky Hall. There was an encore performance of October, for mixed choir. The University Chorale also performed the piece last fall of 2008 in their "Celebration of Singing" concert.

March 5, 2009 - An die Musik, Baltimore, MD
Performance of Plays, for baritone, oboe, clarinet, viola, and piano. Performers Jason Buckwalter, Elizabeth Honeyman, Kaitlin Pucci, Isabella Mensz, and Andrew Stewart brought this fun and dramatic setting of three plays by Valerie Work to Baltimore. The concert Sound on Sound was sponsored by the Baltimore Composers Forum and also featured the works of composers, James Brody, Benny Russell, Ariyo Shahry, George Spicka, and Mark Williams.

January 23, 2009 - Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
Premier of Plays, for baritone, oboe, clarinet, viola, and piano. A dramatic setting of short plays written by Brooklyn Playwrite, Valerie Work. The set was performed as part of Baritone Jason Buckwalter's recital.

October 3rd - Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA
The Susquehanna University Chorale kicked of the University's Home Coming weekend in it's Susquecentennial year with an encore performance of October for mixed choir. The "Celebration of Singing" concert was held in Stretansky Hall and featured performances by Susquehanna's Chorale, Choir, Chamber Singers, and Opera Department.

June 27th - Joseph Ambler Inn, North Wales, PA
Premier of Variations on the word "Sleep" for male voices. Words by Margaret Atwood [Rights Pending]. It was performed by the composer along with Jason Buckwalter, Bill Morten, and Kevin Wetzel. Variations on the word "Sleep" was a wedding gift for Jonathan and Janel Work. [Listen to a recording of the piece here.]

June 7th - Mission Sound Recording, Brooklyn, NY
Recording Session with Big Apple Burlesque.

May 9th & 10th - Downingtown East High School, Exton, PA
The Women's Ensemble at Downingtown East HS performed By the Rivers of Babylon. This is a choral setting of Psalm 137 for 8 Part womens chorus and cello.
